Raquel Regalado's journey as the first Miami-born Hispanic woman elected to the Miami-Dade County Commission reflects her unwavering dedication to the people and issues that define Miami's unique character.
Throughout her career, Raquel has been a tireless advocate for the community, with a particular focus on supporting disabled children and adults, affordable housing, seniors, school facilities, and transportation.
Her legal expertise, encompassing corporate litigation, real estate, asset valuation, and intellectual property, positions her as a formidable force for positive change in Miami. Raquel's commitment to justice and fairness extends beyond the courtroom into every aspect of her work as a community leader.
Since 2008, Raquel has used her platform as a host of radio and television programs in Spanish to inform and empower listeners on local politics, public housing, immigration, and social services. Her dedication to keeping the community informed underscores her belief in the power of knowledge and dialogue.
Raquel's advocacy for disabled children and adults is deeply personal, inspired by her own experience as a mother of two children on the autism spectrum. This personal connection drove her to run for and serve on the Miami-Dade County Public School Board from 2010 to 2016, where she championed programs and services for special needs individuals and spearheaded initiatives to modernize school facilities throughout the county.
Raquel Regalado's leadership is marked by compassion, intelligence, and an unwavering commitment to building a better Miami for all its residents.
